I am self taught in the art of stained glass and have been creating it for the past 30 years. I find inspiration in almost everything around me...nature, man-made elements, angles, circles and abstractions. Most of my designs come out with very organic lines and create themselves as I go along. I love to incorporate non-traditional pieces of glass into my work. If it is somewhat flat and translucent, I can maybe use it sometimes n a piece. This has led me to second hand shops, antique stores, flea markets and yard sales, all in search of a beautiful addition for my next piece. For the utmost beauty to be derived from looking at a stained glass piece of art, it is essential to have the light shine through. The sun shining through in the day and the lights of the home illuminating the piece from the inside out, makes stained glass an art that can be enjoyed in many ways. Holding a finished piece up to the light is the most exciting part of the process for me.
